I am very excited to announce that after this time of wonder-filled discovery (and quite a few birth-pangs) I am now releasing the first installment of the Dawnbringer series of fantasy novels.
And when I say “this time,” I mean not only the two years since I first began to write and weave the world of Ierendal and the continent of Telmerion, and to discover the characters whose story is now beginning to unfold, (nor the last couple months when most of the writing has occurred) but in a certain way my entire life. Looking back it makes me smile how God was “seeding” this myth while that little boy was spending hours outside, stick in hand, fighting for goodness and truth, and drinking so deeply from the wellspring of imagination and story (a deep and primal form of prayer) that one of the friends of my family would greet me with the words, “Well, who are you today?” I am both humbled and grateful that the threads woven by God over these years have surfaced again as a very clear word and story that it feels like I am not inventing but discovering…that has always been there, both inside me and outside of me, holding me, and seeking now to be expressed as a living reality in which others can participate. It is my hope that you will find yourself stirred to wonder and play, encouraged and uplifted by the story that I humbly present, with fear and trembling and yet confidence in God.
